Leader & Ally

Roy Anderson, III, has exemplified leadership in his profession, helping shape the Southeastern construction industry for over 40 years. Roy is known for his business ethics, philanthropic contributions, and desire for excellence and innovation in the construction industry. He is a valued business leader and an ally to many who know him and have been associated with him. Today, Roy is the Chairman and CEO of AnderCorp, the construction company he started with his son, Roy Anderson, IV.

Professional Background

Roy previously served as President and CEO of a leading regional construction firm and Chairman of a multi-company construction organization comprised of several operating construction companies across the Southeastern United States. Roy began his career in 1982, working within his family’s construction business and helping grow it into a recognized industry leader throughout Mississippi and the Southeastern United States. Over the course of 35 years, Roy provided executive oversight for more than $7 billion in major construction projects spanning hospitality, gaming, healthcare, prisons, office and mixed-use developments, sports facilities, student dormitories, disaster recovery, and federal work. He played an integral role in the growth of the regional gaming industry, constructing over 3 million square feet in hospitality and gaming facilities. The organization was later acquired by a publicly traded construction company in 2011, and Roy continued serving as CEO until his resignation in December 2017.

Accolades & Accomplishments

Roy graduated from the University of Alabama and the University of Mississippi School of Law, where he was elected Vice President of his law class. Throughout his career, he has held numerous leadership roles within the construction industry, including serving as President of the Mississippi Chapter of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) and as a National AGC Board Member. His professional honors include Leadership Gulf Coast graduate; Magnolia Tribune Top Business Person; Mississippi Business Journal Top CEO, Mississippi Top 50, and Top 40 Under 40; Boy Scouts Pine Burr Council Distinguished Citizen Award; Top 10 Outstanding Community Leaders; and Industry Person of the Year by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Mississippi. Roy is a former equity holder and board member of the American Contractors Insurance Group (ACIG) in Dallas, Texas, Vice President and Charter Trustee of the AGC Self-Insured Workers’ Compensation Fund, and former member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). He has been a featured speaker at numerous national gaming, hospitality, and construction industry symposiums, including AGC conferences and the Partnering Symposium for the Regional U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Convention.

Involvement & Service

Roy currently serves as Chairman of the Gulf Coast Business Council and is on the Board of Directors for the Memorial Hospital Gulfport Foundation. His extensive leadership experience includes serving as Chairman of the Gulf Coast Renaissance Corporation and holding board and advisory positions with the Mississippi Aquarium Foundation, Merchants Bank & Trust Company, Whitney National Bank of Mississippi, the American Heart Association, and Mississippi Power Company. Roy also served two terms as President of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Resort Classic, a PGA Champions Tour event, and two terms as President of Westminster Academy. He has remained actively involved in numerous local and statewide charitable organizations, including the American Heart Association, where he served as Gulf Coast Heart Walk Chair in 2016 and was recognized as the organization's 2018 Gulf Coast Honoree.

As the Executive Vice President of AnderCorp, Roy Anderson, IV is a pivotal figure in the company’s leadership, overseeing client development, account management, new project pursuits, and the overall management of the company. Roy’s connection to the construction industry began at an early age, having grown up in a family with a rich legacy in the field. After earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Managerial Finance from the University of Mississippi, he followed in his family’s footsteps by pursuing a career in construction. Roy began his professional experience working on major construction projects in cities such as Birmingham, New Orleans, New York, and Gulfport. This hands-on experience in project management provided him with a unique perspective on the importance of team building and cultivating strong customer relationships. Through this experience, Roy believes that a company’s culture and commitment can significantly impact a project’s performance and ultimate success—from preconstruction to the grand opening.

Beyond his role at AnderCorp, Roy is actively involved in the broader construction industry. He currently serves as President and Board Member of the Mississippi Associated General Contractors (AGC), contributing his expertise to the development of the industry at large. Roy is a graduate of the Leadership Gulf Coast program and was named “Top 40 Under 40” and “Top 50 Emerging Leaders” by the Mississippi Business Journal.

Tina Oakes serves as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at AnderCorp, bringing over 25 years of experience in construction accounting. She oversees the company’s financial and accounting operations, ensuring sound financial management, transparency, and the fiscal stability necessary to deliver projects successfully for clients. Tina earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Professional Background

Ben Logan serves as Vice President of Operations at AnderCorp, bringing over 40 years of construction experience managing large, complex construction projects across public and private sectors nationwide. He provides executive leadership, technical expertise, and fiduciary oversight throughout all phases of project delivery, from inception through completion. 

With a hands-on approach to the successful procurement and construction of over 250 major projects, Ben’s background spans major project delivery methods and contract types, including federal, state, local, and private-sector work. He plays a key role in advancing strategic initiatives, developing leadership, and ensuring client satisfaction across the organization.

 Ben earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering and Management from the University of Southern Mississippi and an Associate of Arts from Holmes Community College.

Steven Moore serves as Vice President of Innovation and Career Development at AnderCorp, bringing over 25 years of construction experience. In this role, he collaborates with the construction operations team while leading strategic initiatives focused on professional growth and operational excellence.

Steven is dedicated to fostering a culture of continuous improvement by integrating innovative construction technologies and developing internal programs that empower team members to reach their full potential. He is passionate about helping AnderCorp remain a community-first, relationship-driven, and people-focused home for top industry talent.

Steven earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Mississippi State University and is a Certified Healthcare Contractor. He currently serves as Chairman of the Building Construction Science Advisory Board for Mississippi State University and is a Leadership Gulf Coast graduate.  

Professional Background

Martin Shows serves as Vice President of Field Operations at AnderCorp, bringing over 30 years of construction experience, including 20 years of hands-on field experience and 10 years in executive leadership. He provides strategic oversight of field operations from preconstruction through project closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.

Martin works closely with project teams, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to coordinate project execution, address challenges, and maintain alignment with project goals. His experience allows him to balance strategic objectives with the critical details of day-to-day construction operations, supporting successful project delivery and strong project team performance.

Martin earned an Associate of Applied Science in Drafting and Design from Hinds Community College and holds certifications in OSHA 30-Hour, Telescoping Forklift, Excavation & Trenching, Crane & Rigging, and First Aid & CPR.

Professional Background

Hunter Lipscomb serves as Vice President of Strategy and Development at AnderCorp, supporting enterprise growth strategy, major market pursuits, and long-range business planning across the company’s construction, economic development, and government services operations. He works alongside senior leadership to evaluate new markets, support multi-state expansion efforts, and align strategic priorities with large-scale industrial, federal, and public-private development opportunities.

Hunter’s responsibilities include coordinating pursuit teams, evaluating delivery and partnership models, and helping shape project development strategies that support both public infrastructure investment and private-sector development. He also supports corporate communications and community engagement efforts to maintain alignment between company strategy, operations, client relationships, and market positioning.

Hunter earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from Mississippi State University, a Master of Business Administration from Mississippi State University, and a Master of Economic Development from the University of Southern Mississippi. He was appointed by Governor Tate Reeves to serve on Mississippi’s State Workforce Investment Board, which helps guide and strengthen the state’s workforce development strategy. Hunter currently serves as an officer in the Mississippi Air National Guard and is a veteran of Operation Inherent Resolve.

Matt Herbert serves as Vice President & Division Manager of AnderCorp’s Huntsville office, bringing over 25 years of construction experience, including more than a decade in the Huntsville market. He provides leadership and strategic oversight for AnderCorp’s operations, business development, and continued growth across North Alabama.

Matt’s experience spans commercial, industrial, institutional, and nuclear power generation projects, with expertise in field management, project management, estimating, and scheduling. His diverse background and hands-on approach enable him to effectively lead project teams, navigate complex construction challenges, and maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and successful project execution. He also plays a key role in strengthening AnderCorp’s presence throughout the Huntsville region and building lasting relationships with clients and industry partners.

Matt earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering Technology from the University of Southern Mississippi and maintains Advanced Primavera Contractor 6.1 Scheduling and NANTeL certifications. He is an active member of the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce and the North Alabama chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC).

Heath Perry serves as Senior Design Executive at AnderCorp, providing strategic design leadership and technical expertise across a wide range of projects. His understanding of the construction process allows him to bridge the gap between design and execution, developing solutions that are both innovative and practical.

Heath brings over 25 years of architecture experience, with a focus on delivering high-quality design and project outcomes. He previously owned and led one of Mississippi’s largest architectural firms, building a reputation for excellence, strong client partnerships, and successful work across diverse markets.

Heath earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Tennessee. He serves as a Board Member for the Mississippi State Board of Architecture and currently enrolled in the Gulf Coast Business Council Masters Leadership Program and its Executive Leadership Academy, specializing in Artificial Intelligence.

Shane Langley serves as Director of Preconstruction at AnderCorp, bringing over 20 years of construction experience. He leads preconstruction efforts across a variety of delivery methods, ensuring a seamless transition from planning through construction. Shane provides oversight on budgeting, planning, and coordination and serves as a key liaison between preconstruction and project management teams to drive successful project outcomes.

Shane earned a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction Science from the University of Southern Mississippi. He holds certifications in OSHA 30-Hour, LEED AP, and USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors.

Josh Moore serves as Director of Federal Preconstruction at AnderCorp, bringing over 15 years of construction experience with a focus on federal work, design management, and preconstruction services. He leads federal project planning efforts with a strategic, relationship-driven approach and specializes in Design-Build delivery. Josh works closely with architectural and engineering partners to develop solutions that align technical performance, cost certainty, and client objectives.

Josh earned a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction Science from Mississippi State University and is a member of the S.A.M.E Mobile Chapter. He holds certifications in CMMC Training, DoD Cybersecurity Training, and MPP for Mentor Protege JV’s.

Derek earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from Mississippi State University. He is a Licensed Residential Contractor in Mississippi, a Certified All Lines Adjuster through Wardlaw Claims Training Center, and holds an OSHA 30-Hour certification.

Rob Flaherty serves as Project Executive at AnderCorp, bringing 38 years of construction experience. He provides leadership throughout every phase of a project, from preconstruction and estimating through award, construction, completion, and closeout. 

Rob’s expertise includes contract administration, scheduling, procurement, and coordination, with a strong background in both hard-bid government and Design-Build projects. He has completed numerous projects for the federal government, including the Corps of Engineers, NAVFAC, the Department of the Navy, and the Bureau of Prisons.

Rob earned a Bachelor of Science in Building Science from Auburn University. He holds certifications in USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors and OSHA 30-Hour.

Ryan has extensive experience across multiple market sectors and delivery methods and is known for aligning teams, maintaining accountability, and proactively addressing challenges to drive successful project outcomes. His diverse background as a developer, owner’s representative, and contractor allows him to tailor project strategies to each client’s unique goals.

Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He is a graduate of Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce Leadership Gulf Coast, Leadership Hancock County, and Leadership Baldwin County and was a past Board Member on the University of Louisiana at Monroe School of Construction Management Industry Advisory Council. He holds certifications in ASHE Healthcare Constructor, USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors, and OSHA 10-Hour.
