Highlights
The Ocean Aero project involved the design and renovation of an existing warehouse located on the East Pier at the Port of Gulfport. Delivered through a Design-Bid partnership, the project transformed the existing 61,000-square-foot metal building into Ocean Aero’s new headquarters.
The renovated facility was divided into three primary areas, including office space for management and engineering teams, manufacturing and shipping operations, and dedicated storage and future expansion space. Renovations also included shop and fabrication areas, a shipping and receiving dock, updated employee office space, and a customer showcase featuring a full-scale model of Ocean Aero’s underwater and surface vehicle.
The project also included repairs to existing storm-damaged building components, roof patching, the installation of 11 new rooftop units, and exterior improvements consisting of a hurricane-impact curtainwall system, insulated metal panels, structural steel elements, and a refreshed exterior façade with new paint and metal panel upgrades.
