Highlights

The Entergy Central MS Transmission Office project involved the redevelopment of a 102,700-square-foot facility situated on 14 acres. Completed in two phases, the project consolidated and replaced three existing facilities that supported Entergy’s transmission line, substation operations, and Central Mississippi substation maintenance departments for the Jackson metro area.

Phase 1 included the partial demolition of the existing metal building, including the removal of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, exterior walls, porches, and existing site elements. Phase 2 focused on the interior build-out of approximately 26,000 square feet, creating new offices, conference rooms, file storage areas, restrooms, break rooms, and a reinforced concrete/CMU storm room. The remaining 77,000 square feet underwent extensive upgrades, including sustainable lighting, overhead doors, a loading dock, interior equipment storage cages, and the relocation of existing pallet racks. Exterior improvements included new metal wall panels, updated storefront systems, and a new TPO roofing system.

Site development included the construction of a new 10-acre laydown yard featuring crushed concrete and limestone surfacing, new concrete entrance drives with automatic gates, an asphalt parking lot, and two new storage buildings to support ongoing operational needs.
