Highlights

This project, covering 102,700 SF and 14 acres, was completed in two phases and involved replacing three existing facilities that housed Entergy’s transmission line, substation operations, and Central MS substation maintenance departments for the Jackson metro area.

In Phase 1, the existing metal building underwent partial demolition, which included the removal of mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems, exterior walls, porches, and existing trees. Phase 2 focused on the interior build-out of 26,000 SF to create new offices, conference rooms, file storage, restrooms, a concrete/CMU storm room, and break rooms. The remaining 77,000 SF were upgraded with sustainable lighting, overhead doors, a loading dock, and interior cages for tools and equipment. Additionally, existing pallet racks were relocated. Exterior upgrades included the installation of new metal panels in select areas, new storefronts, and a new TPO roof.

The facility also received a new laydown area exceeding 10 acres, including crushed concrete/610 limestone yard, new concrete entrance drives with automatic gates, a new asphalt parking lot, and two new storage facilities for equipment.
