Highlights

The Castle Headquarters project involved the renovation, restoration, adaptive re-use, and addition of the historic Melton Hardware Co. building in Meridian, MS. Originally constructed in 1925, the building was carefully restored to preserve its historic character while transforming the space into a modern corporate headquarters.

The project included the renovation of 25,000 square feet, 2,000 square feet of new construction, and the construction of exterior courtyards. The existing structure featured masonry-bearing wall construction with heavy timber infill, while the new addition incorporated structural steel with a combination of metal and glass cladding.

Throughout design and construction, the project team worked closely with the owner to pursue and secure federal historic tax credits for the rehabilitation effort. The completed project successfully blends historic preservation with modern functionality, creating a state-of-the-art headquarters facility for Castle.
