BRUCE SMITH ENTERPRISE, THE CORDISH COMPANIES AND ANDERCORP TO HOST PETERSBURG LOCAL CONTRACTOR & VENDOR FAIR TO PROVIDE INFORMATION ON WORK OPPORTUNITIES FOR LIVE! CASINO & HOTEL VIRIGINA PROJECT

 Event Scheduled for Wednesday, April 9, 2025 / 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Petersburg Public Library 

PETERSBURG, Va. (March 27, 2025) – Bruce Smith Enterprise, The Cordish Companies, and AnderCorp will host a Local Contractor & Vendor Fair on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Petersburg Public Library (details below) aimed at providing information on work opportunities for the new LIVE! CASINO & HOTEL VIRGINIA project, a $1.4 billion transformative mixed-use resort destination in Petersburg. 

 The event, which is free and open to qualified local suppliers and contractors, will highlight procurement opportunities and business policies for vendors interested in doing business with the casino. This event is being held in partnership with the Virginia Department of Small Business & Supplier Diversity. 

“Live! Casino & Hotel Virginia will purchase tens of millions of dollars in goods and services in the region,” said Rob Norton, President of Cordish Gaming Group. “This Vendor Fair is an opportunity to start educating local businesses on the types of opportunities for goods and services that will be available to them, including those related to the construction phase of this project. Our team is committed to utilizing and supporting local, regional, minority, women-owned, and veteran-owned businesses. We will maintain an internal database of diverse contractors and suppliers that will be used for future opportunities.” 

 Live! Casino & Hotel Virginia is slated to open in 2027. A temporary gaming facility will open by the end of 2025 to immediately begin creating jobs, vendor opportunities and economic benefits for the City.

Live! Casino & Hotel Virginia will be developed, owned, and managed by Petersburg Community Development Investors, LLC and its affiliates. Authorization of a casino in Petersburg is subject to licensing by applicable Commonwealth agencies including the Virginia Lottery.
